Feed Program for Broilers (nutritional guidelines – may vary slightly by feed brand or region):

1. Starter Feed (Day 1 – 14)

  • Protein: 21–23%

  • Metabolizable Energy (ME): 2900–3000 kcal/kg

  • Calcium: 0.9–1.0%

  • Notes:

    • Fine crumbles/pellets for easy intake.

    • High protein for fast early growth and immunity.

2.Grower Feed (Day 15 – 28)

  • Protein: 19–21%

  • Metabolizable Energy: 3000–3100 kcal/kg

  • Calcium: 0.85–0.9%

  • Notes:

    • Focus on muscle and frame growth.

    • Maintain good feed conversion ratio (FCR).

3. Finisher Feed (Day 29 – Market age ~35–42 days)

  • Protein: 17–19%

  • Metabolizable Energy: 3100–3200 kcal/kg

  • Calcium: 0.8–0.85%

  • Notes:

    • Promotes weight gain and meat quality.

    • Reduce protein slightly to avoid excess cost and ammonia production.

💧 Water & Additives

  • Clean, fresh water at all times.

  • You can add vitamins/electrolytes during stress (heat, vaccination, transport).

  • Probiotics/enzymes can improve gut health and feed utilization.

📌 General Rule of Thumb for Feed Intake (per bird up to 2 kg market weight):

  • Starter: ~0.5 kg

  • Grower: ~1.2–1.5 kg

  • Finisher: ~1.5–1.8 kg

⚖️ Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR)

  • Starter phase: 1.2–1.4

  • Grower phase: 1.5–1.7

  • Finisher phase: 1.8–2.0
👉 Goal: Overall FCR = 1.6–1.8 (good efficiency).
