Week 1 (Day 1–7)

  • Temperature: 32–34°C under brooder, reduce 2–3°C gradually.

  • Lighting: 23 hours light, 1 hour dark.

  • Feed: Starter feed (crumbles), ~150–180 g/bird by end of week.

  • Health Tasks:

    • Day 1: Marek’s (hatchery)

    • Day 5–7: ND/IB vaccine (eye drop or drinking water)

  • Extra: Place paper on litter with feed for easy access, provide electrolytes/vitamins.

  • Temperature: 30–31°C → reduce to ~28°C by day 14.

  • Extra: Check litter dryness, add fresh material if needed.

  • Extra: Provide fresh, cool water; ensure enough feeder and drinker space.

  • Extra: Ventilation important; remove wet litter to control ammonia.

  • Extra: Plan marketing; avoid keeping beyond 6 weeks (higher feed cost, less profit).
